Why this exists

I have spent years moving through intentional communities across Costa Rica and beyond.

The land was almost always beautiful. The people were almost always sincere. The vision was almost always alive — at least at the beginning.

And still — most of them struggled in the same ways. Conflict that never fully resolved. Burnout in the people carrying the most. Invisible contracts that turned into resentment. Leaders who genuinely cared, who still somehow managed to distort the very thing they were trying to protect.

I started paying attention to the pattern.

It was almost never the land. Almost never the funding. Almost never the lack of heart.

It was almost always the leadership — good, devoted, sincere leadership that was nonetheless operating from blind spots it couldn't see.

From wounds dressed as authority. From obligation disguised as inspiration. From control that genuinely believed it was care.

That's why this course exists.

The gap most leadership misses

Most training teaches you what to do.
This asks who is doing it.

Strategies. Frameworks. Communication techniques. These things have their place.

But they don't touch the deeper question — which is not what you're doing, but who is doing it, and from where.

A leader operating from a triggered nervous system doesn't just make bad decisions. They shape the emotional climate of everyone around them. The nervous system of a group mirrors the coherence — or chaos — of whoever is holding it.

Good intentions do not protect the field.

Presence does. Clarity does. The willingness to look at yourself honestly, before you ask others to follow you — that does.

Leadership is not a role. It is a relationship with power.

This course is an invitation to make that relationship conscious — so that what you're building can hold the weight of what it's meant to become.

What this is

Not a lecture series.
An initiation.

Eight weeks. Eight covenants. Each one a domain of leadership that most people either avoid entirely or navigate without awareness.

Designed for people already carrying responsibility — leaders, stewards, facilitators, founders, vision holders — who are ready to lead without distortion, without burnout, and without dominating the thing they're trying to serve.

8
Weeks
One covenant per week. Each builds on the last. Nothing is skippable.
3
Weekly touchpoints
Core teaching, live integration circle, and embodied practice carried into your actual leadership that week.
1
Goal
Not motivation. Capacity. The durable kind that holds under pressure.

The learning happens in the room — in what surfaces when you are in the presence of other leaders doing the same honest work.

The eight covenants

Eight domains.
Eight reckonings.

I01
Trigger & Leadership: The Pause That Protects
Leadership cannot flow from a wound.
Establishing emotional sovereignty as the non-negotiable foundation of leadership. Activation vs authority. Why good intentions do not protect the field.
Where does my leadership collapse when I am activated?
II02
Creation vs Delegation: The Flow of Inspiration
Creation must come from inspiration, not obligation.
Cleaning the source of leadership action. How resentment forms in leadership roles. The difference between delegation as clarity and delegation as avoidance.
Where am I leading from obligation instead of inspiration?
III03
Collective Leadership: The Pillars of Stewardship
No one sits above the circle of fire.
Distributing leadership without collapsing into chaos or control. Power as responsibility, not authority. Autonomy within alignment.
Where does control masquerade as leadership?
IV04
Clean Agreements: The Architecture of Trust
Clarity is devotion.
Eliminating invisible contracts, assumptions, and resentment loops. Time, money, labor, and intention as sacred domains. The difference between flexibility and avoidance.
What have I been expecting without explicitly asking for?
V05
Gratitude as Currency: The Exchange That Sustains
Gratitude turns survival into ceremony.
Stabilizing leadership energy and preventing slow-burn collapse. Gratitude as nervous-system regulation. Valuing visible and invisible labor equally.
Where has gratitude been assumed instead of expressed?
VI06
Consent Culture: The Art of Relational Permission
Every offering begins with a question.
Dismantling fixing, saving, steering, and covert control. Why helping often violates integrity. Consent as the foundation of relational safety.
Where do I override consent in the name of care or efficiency?
VII07
Accountability & Exit: The Mirror and the Gate
Leaving is not betrayal — it is integrity.
Transforming accountability into reflection and honoring exit as completion. The difference between repair and rupture. Forced retention and community decay.
Where am I holding on past alignment?
VIII08
Stewardship of Fire: Holding the Field
Fire is powerful — and must be tended.
Integrating leadership as long-term stewardship rather than identity. When to step back, step down, or pass the flame. Fire in service vs fire in ego.
Where is my fire clean — and where is it asking to be tended, shared, or released?

The weekly rhythm

Three touchpoints.
Every week for eight weeks.

90
min — Core teaching
Live or recorded deep teaching on the week's covenant. The intellectual and somatic foundation.
60
min — Integration circle
